Born to Run is a book about Christopher McDougall who is trying to understand his body and how he can run like the ultra running Indians, the Tarahumara. My task was to create a different number of questions to understand the book more in depth; as well as answer the questions for a better explanation of my understanding of the book.
Section 1: This part introduces the main character and many other characters that have a big role in developing the story. Christopher learns about Caballo Blanco and the Tarahumara runners. Section 2: Ultra running is explored and all the famous events and peoples stories are told. Section 3: Caballo Blanco, Christopher, and Scott Jurek plan the greatest race the world will never see. Section 4:The science of running is explained. Section 5:The greatest race the world has never seen . |
In my selection of Born to Run thus far, I’ve been introduced to a variety of characters that have reached a level of enjoyment with running most of I can only dream about; indeed, I'm still stuck in the painful middle of this argument that asks the question: is running good for you? I must answer this question as well as find resources saying why running is good and bad for you from professionals.

For our POL's this year, we were tasked to respond to the UC freshman prompt. The prompt asks, describe the world you come from – for example, your
family, community or school – and tell us how your
world has shaped your dreams and aspirations. I answered it by talking about how my goal in life is to be happy and how internship shaped that thought process.

This short story was about a girl developing into women hood while a meeting an inquisitive stranger. We wrote this based off of our ideas of how this scenario would play out by using textual evidence. We tried to answer the question, would Sylvia, the main character lead the young huntsman to the white heron?
