From Plants to Plates
This project was designed to emphasize healthy eating habits coming from the home. As a family works hard to maintain a garden, they will want nothing more than to eat and create dishes that they grew from a seed and helped nurture into edible plants. I started this honors biology project in the beginning of March 2015 and it will be continued throughout the summer.

Reflection:
Although not every single seed planted grew, I still learned a lot from the ones that did. In the beginning of the project when I was researching the plants, there was a very different timeline for what the growth rate would be. It can be difficult to see immediate progress with the plants when you're watering and tending to them every day but it was nice to see the weekly photos and how much they grew overall. To help any future student that does a similar project, gardening, they should always plant more because then they will get better results and if there is a surplus they can thin out the crop. I enjoyed how my family and I all got involved with the whole process of the project. We all planted, watered, harvested and cooked the fruits and vegetables we grew.
